At the key juncture of the economy shifting to high-quality development, vigorously implementing the strategy of strengthening the country with quality and carrying out in-depth quality improvement actions can strongly support high-quality economic and social development. In order to further promote the scientific and technological innovation of the foundry industry, improve the overall quality level of the industry, and establish the brand of the foundry industry, the organizing committee of the China International Foundry Expo carried out five selection work, including the "Gold Award for Quality Casting", and carried out selection activities for castings, die-castings, casting equipment, casting materials and artistic castings during the "Casting Expo". The selection activity is still strongly supported by the majority of exhibitors, and nearly 200 exhibits from more than 150 enterprises participated in the application.

 After the data review and intensive on-site inspection and comprehensive and full discussion and evaluation by the members of the expert group, a total of 65 participating castings won the "Gold Award for Quality Casting", 4 pieces of die castings won the "Gold Award for Quality Die Casting", 15 pieces of art castings won the "Gold Award for Art Casting", 26 sets of casting equipment won the "Casting Equipment Innovation Award", and the products of 39 enterprises won the "National Casting Material Golden Tripod Award".

Among them, in the evaluation process of "Quality Casting Gold Award" and "Quality Die Casting Gold Award", 8 enterprises and 8 casting products respectively won the title of "Quality Casting Gold Award Special Award" of the 2023 "Foundry Expo" with outstanding performance such as high technical content, complex process structure and highly recognized product quality.

On the afternoon of May 9, 2023, the five awards of the 21st China International Foundry Expo - "Gold Award for Quality Casting", "Gold Award for Quality Die Casting", "Casting Equipment Innovation Award", "Golden Tripod Award for Casting Materials" and "Gold Award for Art Casting" were held in the opening ceremony area of the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin). The review panel unanimously agreed that the proportion of complex castings increased, whether it was clay sand process, resin sand process, or die-casting, low-pressure and other processes, the technical content of castings produced increased significantly; Integrated die-casting has become a highlight, and two or three leading enterprises in the industry have brought the latest integrated die-casting parts to the exhibition, showing strong technical strength; The number of castings in the special operation environment has increased, and there are deep-sea operation castings and launch vehicle castings in the participating castings, indicating that China's foundry enterprises have improved their ability to solve key castings.
